Dirty Projectors released another new song from their upcoming album, Swing Lo Magellan. Last night, the band put up a YouTube video, featuring the album cover and “Dance for You.”
Initially, “Dance for You” sounds scaled back — a simple hand-clap rhythm, guitar and bass. It picks up a drum machine and orchestral arrangements, but surprisingly, none of the female harmonies that became a trademark on their last album.
The band has already released “Gun Has No Trigger.” Swing Lo Magellan is out July 10 on Domino.
