Twins Matt and Jesse Kivel started the band Princeton in 2005. In between their debut, 2009′s Cocoon of Love, and its follow-up album, Remembrance of Things to Come, in 2012, they were busy with side projects. Jesse put out a disco-pop album with his girlfriend, Zinzi Edmundson, as Kisses, and both brothers played in Sleeping Bags.
Now, both Kivels have a new electro-pop project called Funky Walkman. Matt wrote and sang their first track, “Los Angeles,” and Jesse produced it. The drum machine pulses quickly, but Matt’s vocals keep things mellow. “Los Angeles” is the perfect song for a summer in the city.
