Two Door Cinema Club turned a lot of heads with their debut album, 2010′s Tourist History. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from them, but they’ve been working on a follow up, titled Beacon.
Along with the announcement, the trio, hailing from Northern Ireland, released the new album’s first single: “Sleep Alone.” The verses are paced by a frantic hi-hat, and even in the chorus, when the other instruments really kick in, singer Alex Trimble sounds incredibly restrained. His control makes for a tight pop song, still bursting with energy.
