Former Velvet Underground member John Cale is releasing a new LP called Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood. As if the title wasn’t strange enough, its first single is called “I Wanna Talk 2 U.”
Despite the titles, Cale hasn’t gone nearly as deep into the weird as his former bandmate Lou Reed. “I Wanna Talk 2 U” is a little odd, but it’s no Lulu.
Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood comes out October 6 via Domino‘s Double Six.
