Pinback hasn’t released an album in five years. Both of its members — Rob Crow and Zach Smith — have been busy, though. Since Pinback’s 2007 album, Autumn of the Seraphs, Smith put out a solo album as Systems Officer and reformed his old band Three Mile Pilot, and Crow released albums with his stoner-rock band Goblin Cock and his electronic group Aspects of Physics, as well as a solo LP and other projects.
But thankfully, Crow and Smith have always returned to Pinback. Their fifth album, Information Retrieved, comes out this fall.
The first single, “Proceed to Memory,” picks up right where Autumn of the Seraphs left off — soft drum machines, angular guitars and jaw-dropping, reverbless production.
Information Received is out October 16 on Temporary Residence Ltd.

Love to see new work from them… They have been due for new work seeing as they have been out for some time. Rob Crow had a stint where he was just churning out track after track from 06′-08′, and I wonder what has made him drop off.
Maybe this is a taste of a new EP/Album?
