James Blake is releasing a new single under the name Harmonimix. Blake collaborated with Trim (billed as Trimbal) over two years ago, but the two-track single will finally be out this fall.
“Confidence Boost,” the a-side, is extremely minimal. Until about the two-minute mark, Blake’s presence is barely felt, but he creates an incredibly tense atmosphere for Trim’s lyrics.
Blake has previously only used the Harmonimix moniker for remixes, including songs by D’Angelo, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and Destiny’s Child.
“Confidence Boost” b/w “Saying” will be out September 24 via R&S.
