Beck has always been a fan of tropicalia music. He’s collaborated with legend Caetano Veloso a few times, Brazilian group Os Mutantes (along with St. Vincent and Liars) helped him cover INXS’ Kick, and hell, he’s even got a song called “Tropicalia.”
So it’s no surprise that Beck, along with Devendra Banhart, the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, the Magic Numbers and Seu Jorge, turned up on A Tribute to Caetano Veloso. Beck covered “Michelangelo Antonioni,” which you can stream below.
