Paul Westerberg has released some great solo records since the end of the Replacements, but lately he’s been a bit quiet. His last album, 2008′s 49:00, was only available digitally, and last weekend he subtly released a new song online.
“My Road Now” starts in a typical Westerberg fashion — a false start left in the song. While his style is easily recognizable, the piano ballad sounds like it could be an adult contemporary hit — a far cry from the drunken days of the ‘Mats.
