Divine Fits is the new collaboration between Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner and New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brown. The group just released “My Love Is Real,” the first single from its debut album.
Boeckner takes the lead on “My Love Is Real.” The bouncy, fuzz-disco track sounds a lot like his work with his wife as Handsome Furs. Even though it’s not a jaw-dropping collaborative effort, the single is incredibly catchy.
Divine Fits’ still-untitled debut album is coming out later this year, and a limited “My Love Is Real” 7″, with the b-side “I Was Born in a Laundromat” (a Camper Van Beethoven cover), is out July 31 on Merge.
