I started Kind of Bleu as part of an integrated marketing communications graduate class. My studies gave me the opportunity to do marketing plans for real companies.
Pieces of the Little Power Shop plan have been used to help shape their overall strategy. The WSBU plan was successful — increasing web hits by 50% — and became part of my graduate thesis, an integrated marketing communications plan for the station. After implementing most of the plan, the station reached the top 10 for mtvU’s College Radio Woodie voting contest and was ranked the No. 1 college radio station in the U.S. by The Princeton Review.
In addition to marketing, I work as a freelance writer. I’ve contributed to Venus Zine and Verbicide Magazine.
